What humanoid robot fighting still has not published: 14 open questions, October 2026

Missing winners, single-source results, rule descriptions that disagree and fixtures with no date: the gaps in the public record of humanoid robot fighting, as tracked by Roboxing on 17 October 2026.

Most sports can assume that a result exists somewhere. Humanoid robot fighting cannot. As of 17 October 2026, the Roboxing open-questions page tracks 14 gaps in the public record: results that were never published, numbers that sources disagree on, and fixtures announced with no date. This is a guide to the main ones and why they matter.

Why the gaps exist. The sport is covered mainly by manufacturers announcing their own events, by state broadcasters treating them as technology stories, and by city newspapers writing in languages the promoters do not publish in. A result can go missing and nobody notices, because nobody keeps a list.

Results that were never published. Kickboxing was a scored contact sport at the first World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing in August 2025, with 487 matches in total, but no medallists have been found in English or Chinese. Martial arts became a scored event at the 2026 Games, and its placings have not been found either, although the medal table by organisation is known. EngineAI's Mecha King, held in Shenzhen on 24 December 2025 and billed as the first full-size humanoid free-combat championship, has no published winner. The company later founded URKL, which does publish results.

Results that rest on one source. For Shadow Combat League's First Light on 23 May 2026, results circulate for three bouts, but they rest on a single aggregator with no established editorial record and the league has not published a result sheet. For URKL's Shanghai stop on 19 September 2026, press reports say White Eagle's team took both sessions, but the wording appears to be one wire text carried by two outlets, no scorecard or bout-by-bout card has been published, and Xinhua's English report names no winner. For REK 2 in San Francisco on 15 August 2026, two Japanese outlets report Hiroyuki Osone beating SUSLIKE in the final, but neither gives the number of entrants or the undercard.

Rules and formats that do not line up. First Light is described as three rounds of three minutes with a health-bar scoring system. BERNAMA describes New Dawn MY as bouts of up to 15 minutes, or until a machine stops getting back up. No source says the format changed, so either the rules changed without notice or one description is wrong.

Claims that have not been checked. Unitree announced UnifoLM-X2-1.0 on 7 September 2026, claiming the first fully autonomous high-dynamic humanoid combat, with no teleoperation and no choreography. That is the manufacturer's own claim and has not been independently verified. Sources also conflict on how autonomous URKL's robots are, with some describing a human supplying intent and others describing full autonomy. One uncorroborated source says SCL's machines are built on the Unitree G1, a point neither the league's release nor BERNAMA confirms.

Fixtures with no date or place. China Media Group announced its CMG2026 competition on 10 June 2026, and as of September neither the date nor the venue of the championship finale had been published. Hero Esports announced an eight-city CyberHero season at its Riyadh launch on 9 September 2026, and apart from Riyadh the cities and dates have not been named.

What has been closed. Two questions have been answered and stay on the page, because how long a fact takes to surface is part of the record. Matador beat White Eagle 3-2 over five rounds in the URKL opener, per two independent Chinese outlets, although EngineAI has still published no result itself. And New Dawn MY can be watched on Shadow Combat League's own YouTube channel, where the full broadcast remains as a replay.

How to read this. A gap here is a gap in what the sport has published, not a claim that something is hidden. Where Roboxing has only one source for a result, it says "per" that source instead of recording a bout. If you can close one of these, the full list with sources is at roboxing.tv/open-questions.
