UFB says you can now film yourself and have a humanoid robot copy the move in minutes; REK posts a 'T-REK upgrade' teaser

Two promoter uploads from 3 November: UFB's short on teaching a robot a move from video (its own claim, unverified) and REK's teaser about a T-REK upgrade, which names no change, date or fight.

Hosted on YouTube. Roboxing does not host this video.

Ultimate Bots (UFB) posted a short video on 3 November 2026 titled "Training Robots is now easier than ever". It is the fourth clip in a week from the league's TED appearance, and it is the first to say in plain words what the video-to-robot tool is for.

UFB's own description reads, in substance: teaching a robot a new move used to mean training every motion from scratch; now you can film yourself and, in a couple of minutes, see a humanoid robot do it. The video has David Dobáš of Ultimate Bots explaining the shift at TED.

That adds one claim to what Roboxing reported on 1 November, when UFB's earlier TED clips showed dancing and punch-mirroring: UFB describes the video-to-robot step as taking minutes rather than a full training run per motion. The figure is UFB's own and has not been independently checked.

WHAT THIS DOES AND DOES NOT TELL YOU

This is a promotional explainer, not a fight. UFB does not say in the video description that the tool will be used in Season 2 bouts, and the Season 2 format (four permanent teams, league-assigned robots, scoring across martial arts, dancing and an obstacle course, per ultimatebots.com/schedule) does not mention it. Any link between the two is an inference.

The date that matters for UFB fans is still the Season 2 opener at TwitchCon San Diego, which UFB's schedule currently lists as 13 to 15 November. A card and fight times have not been published.

ALSO UPLOADED ON 3 NOVEMBER: REK

REK posted a short the same day titled "T-REK got an upgrade. What could go wrong?". Its description holds only social links and a link to REK's simulator page, rek.com/sim. It does not say what changed on the robot, and no fight, date or card is attached. Roboxing treats it as a teaser and will update if REK says more. REK has announced "REK 2.1" for 20 November; what that is (software release, tournament or fight card) is covered in the earlier story on this site and is not clarified by this short.
