A timeline of humanoid robot fighting, May 2025 to October 2026: every event on record and what is next

Humanoid robot fighting is about seventeen months old as a public sport. This is a dated list of what Roboxing's record holds, oldest first, as of 28 October 2026. Each line says who reported it. Where an outcome rests on one promoter or one report, the line says so.

2025

25 May 2025: Unitree's Iron Fist King: Awakening, Hangzhou. Four Unitree G1 robots, remotely piloted, with movement trained from motion capture of professional kickboxers. AI Strategist, piloted by Lu Xin, beat Energy Guardian, piloted by Hu Yunqian, over three rounds, as reported. Roboxing's record treats it as the event that started the sport.

5 July 2025: UFB 1: Automata at Frontier Tower, San Francisco, the first event on Ultimate Bots' own calendar. UFB 2 followed on 8 August, UFB 3 (Stanford vs UC Berkeley) on 3 October and UFB 4 in Venice Beach on 17 October, per ultimatebots.com/schedule, which lists no results.

23 August 2025: a humanoid exhibition at UFC Fight Night 257 in Shanghai, per Roboxing's record.

24 December 2025: EngineAI's Mecha King, a one-off event, per Roboxing's record.

2026

6 January 2026: UFB 5: Humanoids vs Vegas, Las Vegas, the last numbered UFB event before the page switches to "Season 1".

7 February 2026: REK 1 at the Kezar Pavilion, San Francisco, per REK's own list at rek.com/fights, which names Dash Summit as the winner. Rest of World described a REK boxing night in San Francisco on 13 February, with modified Unitree G1s and five 60-second rounds; the article gives no event name or date, so linking it to REK 1 is our reading.

14 May 2026: UFB's Fight x Dance in San Francisco, the first listed Season 1 event.

15 and 16 May 2026: a humanoid boxing contest in Yunqi Town, Hangzhou, with five teams and standard Unitree robots, per Chao News and the Hangzhou government portal. No winner has been found.

10 June 2026: China Media Group launches the CMG2026 Robot Mecha Fighting Competition and begins recruiting teams, per the organiser's launch article. It has published no date or venue for a fight.

16 July 2026: URKL's opening round in Shenzhen, with every team on an identical EngineAI T800. White Eagle is reported to have beaten Matador on a five-round decision.

25 July and 15 August 2026: REK Tokyo and REK 2, as listed on REK's own site.

August 2026: free combat at the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, in 40, 58 and 80 kg classes.

9 September 2026: CyberHero's first event in Riyadh. Team FBA beat Team Al Majd 4 to 3 over seven rounds, per Xinhua's English service and, independently, Wenhui Bao.

19 September 2026: two events. URKL's Shanghai stop at Baoshan, where White Eagle's team is reported to have won both sessions, and REK's human-versus-T800 fight, which REK dates to 19 September and which a human operator drove through a headset. It is recorded as an exhibition.

3 October 2026: Shadow Combat League's New Dawn MY in Kuala Lumpur. SCL's own release lists the champions; no independent source has confirmed them.

7 October 2026: ARC Night Singapore. Pilots in motion-capture suits drove T800 and G1 robots; ARC named no winner.

9 October 2026: REK Deathmatch in San Francisco, robot against robot with arm-mounted blades, sold out, no stream. REK has named no winner. The same day, RFC appeared as a preview at the AICON festival in Singapore.

16 October 2026: REK opens an iOS beta of REK Sim, a simulator and not remote control of a real robot.

17 to 19 October 2026: Ultimate Bots begins naming league captains and says four teams have locked in for Season 2, without naming them.

26 October 2026: RFC lists its first card, RFC 01, for 12 December 2026, venue not yet announced.

WHAT THE LIST SHOWS

The sport moved from one Hangzhou tournament in May 2025 to events in several countries by autumn 2026. Its calendar bunches: seven of the events above fall between 9 September and 9 October. Many outcomes rest on one source, and several promoters have posted clips before results, which is why Roboxing records a bout only when two independent sources agree.

WHAT IS NEXT

Ultimate Bots opens Season 2 at TwitchCon San Diego on 12 November 2026 (the schedule lists 12 to 15 November), then Santa Clara on 7 December, RFC 01 on 12 December, Las Vegas in January 2027, Los Angeles in February and San Jose in March. URKL has published no fixtures for its remaining rounds, and CMG2026, ARC and REK have no announced next date. Roboxing will keep this list current as dates are published.
