REK's Deathmatch went ahead with blades and no stream — and no official result yet
REK staged its robot-only weapons night in San Francisco on 9 October without a livestream and posted its first clip mid-event. No winner has been named; one attendee reports knockouts in the MMA bout and the heavyweight weapons match.

REK's Deathmatch went ahead in San Francisco on Friday night as billed: sold out, robot against robot, arm-mounted blades — and no livestream. That last part was deliberate. REK said on X ahead of the night that it would "post on social media, no streams for this one," and its Twitch and YouTube channels stayed dark through the fights.
The first footage came from REK itself. On fight night its YouTube channel posted two clips: at 9:38 PM Pacific, "Real Steel is here boys. Noisy Boy VS Raider-72" — naming one pairing for the first time — and seven minutes later a 16-second clip titled "World's First Humanoid Weapons Fight".
What REK has not published yet is a result. No winner has been named for any fight on its own channels, and rek.com still listed the event as upcoming the morning after.
The only account of how the night ended comes from the crowd. One attendee posted on X that the small-robot knife fight was "insane", that the MMA bout "ended in KO", and that in the heavyweight weapons match "Terminator got his eye cut out then ultimately KO'd Predator". Those are not the names REK billed for its main event — the card listed Rektile against T-REK — and this record cannot say whether they are nicknames, different machines, or a changed card. It is printed here as one spectator's report, not as a result, and stays that way until REK confirms it.
The context is why the night matters. This was REK's first event since California's State Athletic Commission ordered it to stop staging unsanctioned fights involving humans; the order does not cover robot-only bouts, and REK built its next card around exactly that line. Whether bladed robots become a format or stay a one-night provocation is the question REK has now set itself.
Results will be added here when REK publishes them.
